Receta Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredientes
- 1 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 2Â 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 x egg yolks, beaten
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1/4 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 c. lowfat sour cream
- 6 x egg whites, beaten
- 1/2 c. sugar
Direcciones
- Beat shortening and sugar throughly. Add in egg yolks.
- Mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add in alternately with mix of vanilla and lowfat sour cream.
- Beat egg whites till they hold hard peaks. Add in sugar gradually to egg whites, beating after each addition.
- Fold egg white mix into batter. Don't preheat oven. Turn batter into a greased and floured bundt pan and bake for 1 hour 15 min at 350 degrees.
- Note:No icing is needed. Crust is crunchy and sugary. This old southern recipe keeps very well. Can even be sent in mail.
