Receta Southern Banana Pudding

Ingredientes
- 1 pkg. (6 ounce. serving size) Jello vanilla pudding (the kind you cook)
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 2 1/2 doz. vanilla wafers
- 2 lg. bananas, sliced
- 2 egg whites
- Dash of salt
- 1/3 c. sugar
Direcciones
- Combine pudding mix, egg yolks and lowfat milk in saucepan. Cold and stir over medium heat till mix comes to full boil. Remove from heat.
- Arrange layer of vanilla wafers in bottom of a 2 qt baking dish. Add in a layer of banana slices and of pudding, ending with pudding.
- Beat egg whites with salt till foamy throughout. Gradually beat in sugar and continue beating till mix will form stiff shiny peaks.
- Spoon lightly onto pudding, sealing edges well. Bake at 425 degrees for 5 - 10 min or possibly till meringue is lightly browned.
