  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 12 ounce. pkg. frzn, diced precooked chicken or possibly 3 c. diced precooked chicken
  • 16 ounce. can (2 c.) stewed tomatoes, cut up
  • 2 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 10 ounce. pkg. frzn cut okra or possibly 3 c. fresh okra
  • 1/4 c. minced parsley
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 drops warm pepper sauce
  • 1/4 c. uncooked regular rice (I add in a little more)

Direcciones

  1. Heat butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Cook onion and chicken till onion is tender and chicken is thawed. Add in remaining ingredients except rice. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 20 min or possibly till rice is tender. Makes 4 (1 3/4 c.) servings.
