Receta Starbucks' Low Fat Date Scones

  • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. Whole-wheat flour
  • 1/4 c. Unprocessed wheat bran
  • 1/4 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Chilled stick margarine, cut into small pcs
  • 2/3 c. Minced pitted dates
  • 2/3 c. Vanilla low-fat yogurt
  • 2 x Egg whites, lightly beaten
  •     Vegetable cooking spray

Direcciones

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a bowl; cut in margarine with a pastry blender till the mix resembles coarse meal. Add in dates; toss well. Add in yogurt and egg whites, stirring just till dry ingredients are moistened
  2. (dough will be sticky).
  3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; with floured hands, knead lightly 3 to 4 times. Pat dough into an 8-inch circle on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Cut dough into 10 wedges, cutting into but not through dough.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min or possibly till loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
  5. Yield: 10 scones.
