Receta Stile Italiano avolto uova (Italian Style wrapped eggs)
"Scotch" eggs are a popular dish in Scotland and the United Kingdom and much of Europe. This recipe was given to my family sometime ago and we took it to the limit. I have added spices and my own ideas with this recipe. Perhaps you might want to add sage and the like. It is close to being an Italian Dish. It is high fat food, but very tasty.

Ingredientes
- 2 lbs. bulk sausage
- 7-8 hard boiled eggs, peeled
- 4 eggs beaten
- 1/2 - 2/3rd C. flour
- 2 C. seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 2 cups oil
Direcciones
- 1. Boil eggs, peel and set aside
- 2. Divide the sausage into patties and flatten somewhat.
- 3. Place an egg in the center of each patty; mold around the egg, totally envelop the egg.
- 4. Need 3 bowls:
- Bowl One: add flour>
- Bowl two: the beaten eggs
- Bowl three: bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic etc.
- 5. Roll each egg in flour, make sure it is coated, then in egg mixture,and then in the breadcrumb mixture,
- 6. heat oil in skillet to about 375 degrees. Place each egg carefully in the hot oil and fry until brown on all sides. About 5 or so minutes.
- 7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, place eggs on baking tray and bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- 8. Remove from pan, cut each in half and place on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes. Drizzle with spicy mustard, or sausage gravy, or spaghetti sauce. Serve warm or chill and serve as a side salad with your favorite meal.
