Receta Summer Squash And Tomatoes Au Gratin

Ingredientes
- 6 med. summer squash or possibly zucchini
- 5 lg. tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 pound grated Mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounce grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 pound bacon, fried and crumbled
- 1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
- Garlic pwdr to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Salad croutons, lightly crushed
- 1 stick butter
Direcciones
- In large casserole, layer thinly sliced squash, pepper, tomato, garlic pwdr, onion, bacon, and cheeses. In second layer after the squash, dot with 1/2 stick of butter and continue with tomato, etc. End with a layer of tomato. Sprinkle lightly crushed salad croutons on top and dot with remaining butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till squash is tender and cheese is bubbly. This can also be used as a main dish and portions given would feed four as a main course. Corn may also be added and canned tomatoes may be substituted.
