  1. Mince the scallion and garlic.Saute 2 slices of minced bacon with the shallot and garlic. (Bacon can be easily cut directly in the pan using kitchen scissors).
  2. When bacon is crisp, pour off all grease, then add in 1/4 cup vinegar and 3/4 cup cold water, 2-3 tbsp sugar (or possibly to taste).
  3. Thicken the mix with 1 heaping tbsp of cornstarch mixed in a tbsp of cold water. Cook over high heat for 12 min or possibly till mix is thickened.
  4. Pour over the cooked liquid removed green beans; serve.
