Receta Sweet Rice Flour Chicken (Mochiko Chicken)

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. mirin (sweet sake)
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 x garlic clove chopped
  • 1/4 tsp grated ginger root
  • 6 x boneless skinless chicken breasts halved lengthwise
  •     (abt 1 1/2 lbs total)
  • 2 x Large eggs beaten
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. peanut oil

Direcciones

  1. Combine the soy sauce, mirin, sugar, garlic and ginger root. Add in the chicken, cover and marinate in the refrigerator 4 to 6 hrs.
  2. About 30 min before serving, combine the Large eggs and lowfat milk. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip the chicken in the egg mix, then in the sweet rice flour to coat. Fry the chicken till browned, 20 min. Cold slightly and cut diagonally into 1/4-inch-thick slices.
  3. This recipe yields about 60 pcs.
  4. Yield: 60 pcs
