Receta Tar Heel Barbecued Baked Beans

Ingredientes
- 1 lb Dry pinto beans
- 3 x Onions - 2 minced, 1 thinly sliced
- 2 lrg Green peppers, coarsely minced
- 2 x Cloves garlic, mashed
- 2 Tbsp. Peanut oil
- 3 Tbsp. Prepared mustard
- 2 Tbsp. Chili pwdr
- Â Â Salt
- 8 ounce Can tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. Chili sauce
- 1/2 c. Cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. Raw vinegar
- 1 dsh Warm pepper sauce
Direcciones
- 1. Soak and cook beans. Drain, reserving 2 c. of the broth.
- 2. Cook minced onions, green peppers, and garlic in peanut oil till onions are lightly browned. Add in remaining ingredients, except sliced onion, and including beans and broth.
- 3. Pour into a large, oiled casserole. Place the slices of onion proportionately over the top and bake 45-60 min in 350 degree oven.
- Serves 6-8.
- A good brown bread and cole slaw accompany this dish very well.
