Receta Welsh Rabbit With Beer

Ingredientes
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 3/4 c. beer, divided
- Dash of cayenne pepper or possibly Tabasco sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Direcciones
- Heat the butter in the top of a double boiler.
- Add in the cheese and all but 1 Tbsp. of beer. Cook over warm, not boiling water till the cheese melts. Combine the seasonings with the remaining Tbsp. of beer and stir into the cheese. Combine the slightly beaten egg with the cornstarch; stir into the cheese mix and let it thicken slightly. Serve immediately over toast or possibly broiled tomato halves. 4 servings.
