Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1/2 ounce Red food coloring
- 3 Tbsp. Cocoa
- 1 c. Buttermilk
- 2 1/2 c. Cake flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Baking soda
Direcciones
- Cream shortening and sugar. Add in Large eggs, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in food coloring and cocoa. Add in buttermilk alternately with flour.
- Beat in salt and vanilla. Stir in vinegar and baking soda. Pur into two 8" round greased baking pans. Bake at 350 F. for 30-35 min. Cold. Frost with Icing:Icing: 1 c. cool lowfat milk 3 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. butter1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla
- In a saucepan, stir flour into lowfat milk, making a paste. Cook over Low heat till thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and set heat and set aside to cold. Beat butter and shortening till well mixed; beat in sugar.
- Fold in cooled paste. Stir in vanilla. (You can add in minced nuts, if you like.)
