Ingredientes

  • 1 pkt dry yeast
  • 1/4 x hot water
  • 1 3/4 c. lowfat milk scalded
  • 4 ounce processed American cheese sharp (1 c.) [although I bet regular cheddar would be good too]
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 x egg beaten
  • 1/2 c. cornmeal

Direcciones

  1. Soften yeast in water. Combine lowfat milk, cheese, sugar, shortening and salt and stir till cheese melts - cold to lukewarm. Add in two cupsflour and beat 2 min at medium, add in egg, yeast, cornmeal and rest of flour - beat 2 min. Cover and let rise until doubled. Stir down and fill greased 2 1/2 inch muffin pans halfway full. Let rise until double again. Bake at 375 about 20 min.
