  1. Soak white and pinto beans overnight. Saute/fry onion, mushrooms and carrot in 1 Tbsp. of the vegetable broth till tender. Add in liquid removed beans, vegetable broth, mustard and parsely, bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 min. Add in split peas, lentils and barley. Cover and simmer another hour till all beans are tender.
  2. This recipe may be cooked in the crock pot set on LOW for 6 to 8 hrs.
