  1. In a medium saucepan saut onion in butter till it is soft but not browned.
  2. Add in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 min. Add in sliced leftover roast and heat.
  3. NOTES : An all purpose sauce which goes well with beef, warm dogs, chicken, sausages and even pork. After the sauce had simmered for 30 min I cut up the beef in slices and added - simmering for an additional 10 min.
  4. Turned out nice and tender.
