Receta Beef Stew
Ingredientes
- 2 Tablespoons shortening
- 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 6 cups water
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- (or 1/2 teaspoon instant minced garlic)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1-1/2 cups onions, chopped
- 8 medium potatoes, peeled, and cut into 1 inch cubes
- 4 cups carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup flour
Direcciones
- Melt shortening in large saucepan; brown meat. Add water, bouillon cubes, garlic, salt, allspice, lemon juice and onions. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until meat is almost tender (1 to 1-1/2 hours). Add potatoes and carrots; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 40 minutes.
