Receta Blackberry Pinwheel Cobbler

Ingredientes
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 3 c. fresh blackberries
- 2 c. water (or possibly juice of berries)
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (opt.)
Direcciones
- Put together sugar and water in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat till sugar dissolves. Set aside. Place butter in a 13"x9" pan and heat; set aside.Cut shortening into flour, add in lowfat milk till dry ingredients are moist. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly 4 or possibly 5 times. Roll into 12"x9" rectangle. Spread blackberries over dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you like. Roll up jelly roll fashion. Cut dough into 3/4" slices. Place slices in butter and pour sugar syrup around slices. Bake 55 to 60 min at 350 degrees. Serves 12.
