Receta Bread Pudding From Pakistan

Ingredientes
- 6 slices bread
- Oil to fry
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 c. half and half
- 1/2 c. condensed lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or possibly use a healthy pinch of saffron
- Sliced almonds or possibly pistachio nuts for garnish
Direcciones
- Remove crusts from bread and cut into triangles. Fry in warm oil till golden on both sides. Then, pour over 1/2 c. lowfat milk. Put into refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Cook milks and vanilla together on low heat till thickened, stirring constantly. Remove bread from refrigerator and pour the lowfat milk mix over it and allow to cold. Garnish with nuts.
- Substitution: 2 1/2 c. half and half, plus 1/2 c. sugar, may be substituted for the milks listed in the above ingredients.
