  • 1 medium onion, finely minced
  • 2 10oz packages of frzn broccoli, cooked and liquid removed
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 can cream of chicken soup
  • 6 c. of wild rice
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 c. of shredded cheese, your favorite

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a frying pan heat the stick of butter. Sauté onion and garlic, till onions are tender. Set aside to cool.
  3. Steam the frzn broccoli till thawed, then drain well. Let cool.
  4. Cook wild rice according to directions. (Use any type of rice desired; wild rice is exceptionally good in this recipe).
  5. It is important to allow the warm ingredients to cool before mixing everything together so the cheese doesn't heat too soon.
  6. When sufficiently cool, reserve 1/2 cup of the cheese and mix remaining ingredients together. Put in a oven-proof baking dish or possibly casserole dish (or possibly 2 if needed).
  7. Spread reserved 1/2 cup of cheese on top. Cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 20 min, remove foil; bake an additional 5 to 15 min, or possibly till cheese on top is hot and bubbly.
  9. Make approx 12 servings, recipe can be cut in half.
