Ingredientes
- 5 x Large eggs, separated
- 2 1/4 c. Sugar
- 1 c. Shortening
- 2 tsp Soda
- 2 1/2 c. Cake flour
- 1 c. Buttermilk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 pch Salt
- 4 tsp Cocoa
Direcciones
- Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla; add in egg yolks and beat till smooth.
- Sift all dry ingredients together 3 times. Add in dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk to the creamed mix. Mix in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Bake in greased and floured layer pans (3) for 20 to 25 min in a 325 degree oven. Frost with Seven Minute or possibly Cream Cheese Frosting (see recipes).
