Receta Buckwheat Latkes

Ingredientes
- 1 pkt Dry yeast
- 1/2 c. Flour
- 2 c. Hot water
- 1/4 c. Melted shortening
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Honey
- 2 c. Lowfat milk scalded
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 x Egg
- 3 1/4 c. Buckwheat flour (buy at health food store)
Direcciones
- Soften yeast in 1/4 c/ hot water. Add in sugar to lowfat milk as well as remaining water. Cold to lukewarm before adding softened yeast. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre, and pour in liquid mix.
- Stir till smooth.
- Cover and let stand in a hot place to rise for 4 hrs. Beat down and add in honey , melted shortening, baking soda and Large eggs. Beat thoroughly till well mixed.
- Brown on both sides on greased griddle or possibly frying pan. Pour honey on pancakes when serving.
- Serves 6.
