Receta California Fig Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredientes
- 1 c. California dry figs (coarsely minced)
- 3/4 c. Shortening
- 1 c. Brown sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 8 Tbsp. Water
- 2 c. Flour
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 c. Quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 c. Minced nut meats
Direcciones
- Cover figs with warm water, allow to stand 10 min. Pour off water and reserve for liquid. Snip stems off figs, then chop coarsely. Sift flour, measure. Then add in baking pwdr, salt and cinnamon. Sift together. Add in oats, minced figs and nut meats. Cream shortening; add in sugar, cream together thoroughly. Add in well-beaten egg, then add in sifted dry ingredients alternately with water to create dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake at 400 F. for 10 min.
