Ingredientes
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup corn flour
- 1 1/2 tbs baking powder
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp caraway seeds, ground
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 cup Swiss or Cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
- 1 1/2 tsp caraway seeds for sprinkling
Direcciones
- Sift together the flour, the baking powder, the sugar, the caraway seeds, salt and pepper. Stir in the cheese.
- In another bowl whisk together the egg, the milk, and the butter. Add to the flour mixture and stir the batter until just combined.
- Divide the batter among 12 buttered muffin tins, sprinkle with the caraway seeds.
- Bake the muffins in an oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden.
- Let the muffins cool in tins for 2 minutes, then turn them out onto a rack.
