Receta Caribbean Bread Pudding

Ingredientes
- 16 slices week-old bread
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. rum (to soak raisins)
- 4 large large eggs
- 2 c. evaporated canned lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. coconut lowfat milk
- healthy pinch allspice (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 c. gold rum (divided into 2)
- 1/8 c. water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Direcciones
- Soak raisin with 1/8 gold rum prior for 2 hrs, or possibly till hydrated. In large bowl tear sliced bread, in separate bowl mix lowfat milk, 1/2 cup of water, brown, granulated sugar, large eggs, cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, salt, and coconut lowfat milk. blend with mixer or possibly blender till smooth. Put together with bread add in raisin and butter.Place in greased oven proof casserole dish and into a pan of water.
- Bake at 350°F for 50 min till golden.
- While still warm, add in remaining rum and 1/8 water on top.
- Serve hot or possibly cold.
- Great with vanilla ice cream!!!
