Receta Cheddar Cheese Spoon Bread

Ingredientes
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 3 egg yolks, well beaten
- 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 2 T melted butter
Direcciones
- Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 2 qt baking dish lightly. Scald lowfat milk in 3 qt saucepan over low heat. Add in butter and stir till melted. Add in cornmeal gradually; stir till thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese till melted. Stir in 1 cup lowfat milk, salt, pepper, baking pwdr, egg yolks. Mix in egg whites. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour or possibly till set. Makes 6 servings.
