Receta Chicken Luau

Ingredientes
- 4 x boned and skinned chicken breast halves uncooked
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. minced celery
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. pineapple juice liquid removed from fruit
- 16 ounce crushed pineapple in juice liquid removed
Direcciones
- Drain pineapple, save juice and add in water to make 2 c.. In saucepan heat butter and add in celery, onion, and saute/fry 2-3 min. Stir in brown sugar and corn starch. Remove from heat and stir in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and 2 c. liquid. Add in pineapple and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till thick. Pour over chicken and bake 1 hour 15 min
- (uncovered) in 375 degree oven.
- NOTES : This was dinner tonight. Hubby wanted something with fruit on it and thought this sounded good. I had gotten the chicken recipe from somewhere on the internet, but when I looked at it tonight there were ingredients listed which weren't in the instructions and vice versa. I sort of cleaned it up and this is what we got. It took much less time to cook than indicated, the original recipe was probably for bone-in breasts.
