Receta Chili Bowl Pizza

Ingredientes
- MORGAN
- 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 med Onion -- minced
- 1 lb Lean grnd beef
- 3 x Cloves garlic -- chopped
- 4 Tbsp. Chili pwdr
- 1 tsp Grnd cumin
- 3/4 c. Water
- 1/2 tsp Salt -- (to taste)
Direcciones
- Heat the oil in large heavy pan over medium heat. Add in the onion and cook till translucent/soft. Add in the meat, breaking up as it browns. When browned, drain off fat. Return meat/onion mix to pan. Add in garlic, chili pwdr, cumin, salt and water to meat/onion mix. Stir well, bring to a boil.
- Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, 2 hours, stirring occasionally. If the chili dries out, add in a bit more water to keep moist. Do not add in too much water as it will make the pizza soggy.
- Make your favorite crust. (You need a fairly thick one.) Place the crust on an oiled pan sprinkled with cornmeal. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 min (lightly browned). Remove from oven and spread chili on top. Add in some grated cheese - a cheddar/jack/mozzarella combo of some sort works well. Return to oven and bake another 5 - 10 min (till cheese is melted and bubbly).
- Minced green onions on top is very good. Try olives and lowfat sour cream for variety. (Or possibly jalapenos, or possibly ) Now...ENJOY !!! Carol
