Receta Chili Mac - a - Weenie
This is a recipe I threw together one evening, I have 5 boys at home, and we didn't have a lot in the fridge so, hope you all like it.
Ingredientes
- 1lb lean ground beef
- 2pkg beef franks
- 1 small onion
- Chilli Powder (to taste)
- 1tsp Cumin
- 1 8oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 1lb elbow macaroni
- 16 oz Cheddar Cheese
Direcciones
- Brown ground beef
- Dice onion
- add chilli powder and cumin
- add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce
- slice franks about 1/2 inch thick
- bring all to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes
- boil noodles till slightly firmer than aldent
- drain noodles
- add noodles to chilli
- pour half of mixture into baking pan
- sprinkle with cheddar cheese
- pour other half of mixture on top of first layer
- sprinkle with cheese
- bake for 15 - 20 minutes
- serve over hot dog rolls, or white bread
- top with sour cream if desired
