Receta Chinese Style Sauteed Firm Tofu

Ingredientes
- 24 ounce Hard tofu
- 2 Tbsp. Oil
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 sm Onion, thinly sliced
- 6 med Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 sm Carrot, cut into matchsticks
- 2 med Green bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Sake or possibly white wine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Water
- 1 tsp Cornstarch dissolved in 3 tb water
Direcciones
- Cut tofu crosswise into pcs the shape of French-fried potatoes. Heat a wok, coat with oil & sprinkle on the salt. Add in onion, then the mushrooms, stir frying each over high heat for about 30 seconds. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add in carrot, green pepper & tofu in which order, sauteeing each for about 1 minute. Reduce heat to low & add in sake, soy sauce, ginger, sugar & water. Simmer for 3 to 4 min. Stir in dissolved cornstarch & simmer 30 seconds for another 30 seconds.
