Receta Chocolate Butterscotch Torte

Ingredientes
- 1 (8 1/2 ounce.) box chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
- 1/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, minced
- 1/4 c. butterscotch chips, minced
- 3/4 c. walnuts, toasted & minced
- 1/2 c. butter, melted & cooled
Direcciones
- Crust: Combine all ingredients and press onto bottom and sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Refrigeratewhile preparing filling.
- Filling: Heat chocolate and butterscotch chips in microwave. Cold. Combine brown sugar, cream cheese and vanilla in double boiler over simmering water. Mix with electric mixer till creamy (5 min). Add in egg yolks, one at a time. Continue beating for approximately 10 min. Remove from heat. Blend in butter, one piece at a time, with mixer at low speed. Stir in chocolate mix. Chill for approximately 30 min, stirring occasionally.
- Beat egg whites with powdered sugar and cream of tartar till stiff peaks form. Mix in beaten whipped cream and egg whites alternately into chocolate mix. Gently mix in walnuts. Pour into crust lined pan and chill for at least 6 hrs. Garnish with chocolate leaves and whipped cream.
