Receta Chocolate Cherry Italian Cream

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 Large eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 c. grated coconut
- 1/2 c. butter flavored shortening
- 1/2 c. butter, room temp.
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. minced almonds
- 2 cans Solo pastry filling
Direcciones
- Grease and flour 3 (9") cake pans. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together cocoa, flour, salt and soda; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl combine shortening and butter. Cream till soft. Add in sugars and egg yolk. Beat till light. Add in the sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk, ending with dry ingredients. Stir in almond extract. Beat egg whites till stiff and fold into batter. Add in almonds and coconut and pour into prepared pans and bake 30 to 35 min or possibly till done.
