Receta Chocolate Covered Cherries

Ingredientes
- 1/3 c. Butter, softened
- 2 1/4 c. Sifted powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Lowfat milk, (up to 1-1/2)
- 2 tsp Cherry liqueur
- 2 jar , (10 ounce.) maraschino cherries with stems, liquid removed
- 1 pkt (8 ounce) semisweet chocolate squares
- 1 Tbsp. Shortening
Direcciones
- Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer till creamy; gradually add in sugar, beating well. Add in lowfat milk and liqueur, beating till blended.
- Shape sugar mix around cherries, coating cherries completely; place on wax paper.
- Microwave chocolate and shortening in a 2-c. glass measuring c. at HIGH 1 1/2 min or possibly till melted, stirring twice.
- Dip coated cherries by stems into chocolate mix, allowing excess to drip; place on wax paper. Let stand till hard. Store loosely covered in a cold place 1 week or possibly till centers soften.
- Yield: 3 dozen
