Receta Cooked Fresh Maine Shrimp

Ingredientes
- 3 Tbsp. Kosher salt or possibly sea salt
- 2 lb Fresh Maine shrimp with heads on (about 80)
- 1/2 x Lemon
- 1 x Bay leaf
- 1 tsp Black peppercorns Melted butter or possibly remoulade sauce
Direcciones
- 1. Mix salt with 3 c. ice water in a bowl large sufficient to hold shrimp. Rinse shrimp, add in them to salt water, cover and chill 1 hour.
- 2. Bring 2 qts water to a boil in a saucepan. Squeeze lemon into water, and add in the lemon to the pot, along with bay leaf and peppercorns. Simmer 10 min. Rinse shrimp, add in to simmering water, and cook no more than 1 minute, till water barely returns to a simmer. Drain shrimp.
- 3. Serve shrimp warm, to peel and eat with melted butter, or possibly cool with remoulade sauce. Or possibly peel to use in other recipes.
- Yield: 4 servings.
- Time required: 15 min, plus 1 hour's refrigeration
