Receta Cornmeal-Cheddar Fritters

Ingredientes
- 1 qt cornmeal
- 1 qt cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 qt Spanish onions, peel, dice
- 1/2 qt bell peppers, wash, de-seed, dice
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1/2 Tbsp cayenne pepper
- 3/4 qt boiling water
- hot sauce
Direcciones
- In a bowl combine cornmeal, cheddar, onion, pepper, salt, and cayenne.
- Stir in boiling water and mix thoroughly.
- Drop 6 small ice cream scoops of batter into oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
- Transfer fritters to paper towels or perforated pan to drain.
- Serve with hot sauce.
