Receta Crawfish And Pasta

Ingredientes
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 lrg Onion finely diced
- 1 x Red pepper julienned
- 1 x Yellow pepper julienned
- 2 x Celery ribs diced
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp Dry oregano leaves
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 c. Warm water
- 1 lb Orzo pasta cooked according to package instructions
- 1 lb Peeled crawfish tails (available at fish market)
- 1/2 c. Minced green onions
Direcciones
- In a large skillet, heat oil. Add in the onion, peppers, and celery and cook for 5 to 6 min or possibly till soft. Add in the cayenne pepper, oregano, and salt, and cook for 2 min. Add in the flour and cook for 1 minute, toasting the flour to a light brown color. Add in the warm water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer mix for 10 min.
- As sauce simmers, cook the pasta, timing pasta to finish cooking at the same time as the sauce. Add in the crawfish, and continue simmering for 5 min. Add in the green onions and cook for 1 minute more.
- Spoon crawfish mix over orzo pasta in large pasta dishes.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
