Receta Creamed Onion

Ingredientes
- 2 dozen sm. white onions, peeled
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 c. heavy cream
- Salt & pepper
- Dash cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. butter soft bread crumbs
- Water for cooking
Direcciones
- Cook onions in water (sufficient to cover onions) till tender. Drain, keep 1/2 c. liquid. Heat butter and blend in flour. Slowly add in cream and liquid, stirring constantly, cooking till smooth and thick. Add in cheese. Add in salt and pepper to taste and cayenne. Add in onions and mix lightly. Pour into baking dish. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min; cover. Uncover last 20 min to brown top.
