  • 2 x cloves garlic, peeled, trimmed and chopped Healthy pinch of salt
  • 3 med tomatoes, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1 x sweet onion, peeled, trimmed and diced
  • 2 x carrots, grated
  • 1 x green bell pepper, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 x red bell pepper, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 x fresh chili pepper, your favorite, trimmed and chopped (optional, or possibly very mild to please little kids, see note)
  • 1 x lemon or possibly lime, juiced

Direcciones

  1. In a bowl, using the back of a spoon, crush the chopped garlic with the salt.
  2. Add in the tomatoes, onion, carrots, bell peppers, chili pepper and lemon or possibly lime juice. Stir and taste to see if you want more salt. Cover and chill.
  3. Serve with burritos or possibly chips, or possibly the usual cast of characters which go with salsa at your house.
  4. Note: Wear gloves when handling fresh, canned, dry or possibly pickled chilies; the oils can cause a burning sensation on your skin.
