Ingredientes
- 1 pound fresh or possibly frzn scallops or possibly 1 pt. shucked oysters
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 T water
- 2/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- Shortening or possibly veg. oil for deep-fat frying

- Thaw scallops, if frzn. Drain oysters. Dry scallops or possibly oysters with paper toweling.Put together flour, salt and pepper. Roll scallops or possibly oysters in flour mix. Put together egg and water. Dip flour coated seasoned in egg mix, roll in bread crumbs. In saucepan or possibly deep-fat fryer heat about 2 inches shortening or possibly oil to 365 degrees. Fry scallops or possibly oysters, a couple at a time.
- In the hot fat for 2-3 min or possibly till golden brown. Drain on paper toweling, keep warm in 325 degree oven while frying remaining scallops or possibly oysters. Serve with lemon or possibly lime wedges, if you like. Makes 4 servings.
