Receta Dot's Red Velvet Pound Cake

Ingredientes
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. Crisco
- 7 large eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 1 (1 ounce) bottle red cake coloring
- 1 (8 ounce) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Maraschino cherries, minced fine
- 1/2 to 1 c. minced pecans
- 1 box powdered sugar
Direcciones
- Cream sugar and Crisco. Add in large eggs, one at a time. Mix flour, baking pwdr, salt. Add in flour and lowfat milk alternately beginning and ending with flour. Add in flavoring and cake coloring. Beat till well blended. Pour in well-greased and lightly floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs. Frost when cool.
- Cream butter and cream cheese. Add in powdered sugar, cherries, vanilla, and pecans. Beat till smooth. Spread on cake.
