Receta Down Home Corn Bread

Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 c. Yellow or possibly white corn meal
- 1/2 c. Flour
- 4 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 10 x Strips bacon, cooked and diced
- 1/3 c. Melted shortening
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 425 . Combine cornmeal, flour, baking pwdr and salt in large bowl. In a small bowl, mix together bacon, shortening, Large eggs and lowfat milk.
- Add in egg mix to dry ingredients and mix till just smooth, pour batter into warm, greased skillet and bake 18 to 20 min, till golden, Cut in wedges.
- NOTES : Use Turkey bacon to save on fat and calories.
