Ingredientes
- 1 c. sifted whole wheat or possibly white wheat flour
- 1 c. sifted unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 c. canola oil
- 1 c. reconstituted powdered nonfat lowfat milk Or possibly powdered soymilk

- Makes 12 to 15 large biscuits. LACTO/VEGAN
- Drop biscuits go right from mixing to baking, eliminating the steps of rolling and cutting. As with all quick breads, mix lightly for tender biscuits.
- Overmixing develops gluten, resulting in tough biscuits.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine flours, baking pwdr and salt in sifter or possibly wire-meshed sieve. Sift together into large bowl.
- In separate small bowl, combine oil and lowfat milk or possibly soymilk. Whisk to mix and pour into flour mix. Stir with fork or possibly fold with rubber spatula till just mixed and dough holds together (don't overmix).
- Drop dough by heaping Tbsp. at least 1 inch apart onto lightly oiled baking sheet. Bake till biscuits are golden on top, 10 to 12 min.
- Remove to napkin-lined basket. Serve warm.
- Makes 12 to 15 large biscuits.
- HELPFUL HINT: To measure flour accurately, sift more flour than you need onto a large sheet of waxed paper. Spoon lightly into a 1-c. measure which can be leveled with a flat-edged knife or possibly spatula. Gather up opposite edges of waxed paper and pour excess flour back into bag.
