Receta Ethiopian Beef And Peppers

Ingredientes
- 6 x Green chiles, skinned, seeded, minced (or possibly 7)
- 2 tsp Fresh ginger, peel,chop
- 4 cl Garlic
- 1/4 tsp Grnd cardamom
- 1/4 tsp Grnd tumeric
- 1/4 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Grnd cloves
- 1/2 c. Red wine
- 2 lb Sirloin steak, cut in 1/2 inch strips
- 6 Tbsp. Oil
- 2 c. Onion, minced
- 2 x Bell peppers, cut in strips
Direcciones
- Puree chiles, ginger, garlic, spices, and wine to a smooth paste.
- Brown beef in warm oil.
- When proportionately browned, remove and drain off all but 2T oil.
- Saute/fry onion in the oil till soft but not browned.
- Add in the bell peppers and saute/fry for an additional 3 mins.
- Add in the chile puree and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Add in the beef and mix till strips are coated with sauce.
- Reduce heat and simmer 10 min more till the beef is done.
