Receta Favorite Jam Bars for a Large Group
Most people make these with raspberry jam, but any one works. I like blackberry or apricot.
This makes a lot of squares, but they will disappear. Cut recipe in half, if you're not baking for a large group, and use a 9x9 pan.
Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 1/2 cup quick cooking oatmeal flakes
- 1/2 cup toasted coconut
- 1/2 cup pecan chips
- 1 cup favorite chocolate chips
- 12 oz. jam
Direcciones
- Heat oven to 350 F.
- Mix flour, sugar and baking powder together in a bowl, cut in butter.
- Add oats, coconut and pecans, mix.
- Divide mixture into 1/3 and 2/3rds.
- Press 2/3rds into the bottom of a 9x13 glass baking dish, top with jam, then sprinkle on chips.
- Drop small bits of the rest of the oat mix on top. Do not spread.
- Bake 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool, cut into squares.
