Receta Favorite Jam Bars for a Large Group

Most people make these with raspberry jam, but any one works. I like blackberry or apricot.

This makes a lot of squares, but they will disappear. Cut recipe in half, if you're not baking for a large group, and use a 9x9 pan.

  1. Heat oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix flour, sugar and baking powder together in a bowl, cut in butter.
  3. Add oats, coconut and pecans, mix.
  4. Divide mixture into 1/3 and 2/3rds.
  5. Press 2/3rds into the bottom of a 9x13 glass baking dish, top with jam, then sprinkle on chips.
  6. Drop small bits of the rest of the oat mix on top. Do not spread.
  7. Bake 25-30 minutes.
  8. Let cool, cut into squares.
