Ingredientes
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. light corn syrup
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 3 x (1/3 c.) egg whites
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Direcciones
- Combine sugar, syrup, water and bring to a boil till it reaches 240 on a candy thermometer, soft ball stage. As syrup boils, beat egg whites till they are stiff. Pour syrup very slowly into egg whites while beating constantly. Add in vanilla & beat several more min or possibly till stiff.
- Frosts and 8 or possibly 9 inch layer cake.
- Description: "This is an excellent frosting as it doesn't wilt in August heat & humidity (when the state fair takes place) and it isn't too sweet!"
