Receta German Beef In Beer

Ingredientes
- 2 lb lean chuck or possibly round steak - (to 2 1/2 lbs)
- 1/4 c. flour Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- 6 slc bacon cut small pcs
- 2 x onions minced
- 1 1/2 c. dark beer
- 1/2 c. water or possibly beef broth
- 1 dsh grnd cloves and nutmeg
- 4 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. dry parsley flakes
- 1 tsp dry thyme
Direcciones
- Cut meat into cubes, dredge in flour mixed with a little salt and pepper. Place bacon in fry pan and fry a few min. Add in pcs of meat and brown. Add in onions and cook 2 to 3 min.
- Transfer to crock pot. Stir in beer, water, spices, vinegar, brown sugar, and seasonings. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hrs.
- Thicken juices with a mix of flour and cool water if you like. Serve with potatoes or possibly dumplings.
- This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
