- 5 Tbsp. hot water
- 3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa pwdr
- 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. arrowroot, mixed with 2 Tbsp. water

- Unsweetened cocoa pwdr does not contain cocoa butter, and so has substantially less fat than chocolate. Graham Kerr acknowledges which his warm fudge sauce, sans cocoa butter, has a slightly powdery finish and less richness than its higher-fat counterparts, but it will certainly satisfy chocolate cravings.
- Pour the water, cocoa pwdr and sugar into a small saucepan and stir over low heat till dissolved. Remove from heat.
- Stir in arrowroot mix, return to the heat and whisk till thickened. Remove from the heat and whisk till smooth.
