Receta Green Split Pea Soup

Ingredientes
- 1 c. green split peas
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. onion, minced
- 4 c. cool water
- Salt & pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd marjoram
- 2 c. skim lowfat milk
Direcciones
- Soak peas as directed and drain. Heat butter in a large saucepan and cook onion till lightly browned. Add in water, peas and seasonings; cover and simmer 1 hour, or possibly till peas are tender, stirring occasionally. Press soup through a sieve or possibly puree in an electric blender. Return to saucepan, add in lowfat milk, adjust seasoning and heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally. Serve immediately. Makes about 1 1/2 qts.
