Receta Ground Beef In Pita

Ingredientes
- 4 x Pita bread
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 Tbsp. Minced onion
- 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Chopped green pepper
- 1 lb Grnd beef
- 1 Tbsp. Prepared mustard
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Salt Freshly grnd black pepper
- 1 1/2 c. Peeled, seeded and minced tomatoes
Direcciones
- Heat the bread in a low oven. Heat the butter in a skillet and saute/fry' the onion, garlic and pepper till just soft; don't brown. Add in the beef, mustard, oregano, salt and a generous amount of pepper. Cook, stirring, till the meat is no longer red. At the last minute stir in the minced tomatoes and cook briefly. Cut the pitas in half and stuff the pouches.
- Makes 4 generous servings.
