Receta Homemade Blondie Bars With Chocolate And Almonds

Ingredientes
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour plus
- 1 Tbsp. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 x vanilla beans split
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter
- 1 lrg egg
- 1 c. light brown sugar - (packed) plus
- 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar - (packes)
- 3/4 c. toasted almonds (or possibly pecans) coarsely minced
- 2 ounce white chocolate coarsely minced
- 2 ounce dark chocolate coarsely minced
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 6- to 8-inch square baking pan.
- Sift the flour with the baking soda and salt onto a sheet of waxed paper. Scrape the vanilla beans and reserve the pods and scrapings.
- Place the vanilla and the butter in a small saucepan and heat till melted. Beat the egg with the brown sugar at medium-high speed till it resembles very loose meringue, about 3 min, then add in melted butter.
- Reduce the speed, then add in the flour and mix till not quite incorporated. Add in the nuts and minced chocolate; fold till well blended. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
- Bake till the top is dry and golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center emerges nearly dry, about 30 min.
- This recipe yields 15 bars.
