- 4 lrg Golden brown Delicious apples - (abt 9 ounce ea) unpeeled, cored
- 8 Tbsp. mixed dry fruit bits
- 1/2 c. unsweetened apple juice
- 3 Tbsp. honey

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut a thin slice from the bottom of each apple so which apples will stand upright. Place apples in 9-inch-diameter glass pie dish or possibly 8- by 8- by 2-inch glass baking dish. Fill cored-out section of each apple with 2 Tbsp. dry fruit bits. Pour apple juice around apples in dish. Drizzle honey over dry fruit filling and apples.
- Bake apples till tender when pierced with skewer, basting frequently with pan juices, about 55 min. Serve hot, spooning pan juices over.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
