Receta Hot Olive Or Sausage Balls

Ingredientes
- 2 c. grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. softened margarine
- 1 c. flour
- 1 pch salt
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1 x 5 ounce jar stuffed olived liquid removed
- 1 pkt sausage links cooked - liquid removed, cooled and cut into bite-sized pcs
Direcciones
- Cream butter and cheese together; then add in flour, salt, dry mustard and paprika. Mix well. Dough will be stiff. Cover either olive or possibly sausage with about 1 tsp. of dough. Roll between palms. Bake on cookie sheet at 350F for about 20 min or possibly till done. Cold slightly before serving. Can be prepared in advance and cooked before serving.
- Options: Use black olives.
- Roll dough into balls without filling.
- Use cayenne instead of paprika.
- NOTES : Childhood memories of these olive balls are sufficient to make my mouth water. When I rediscovered the recipe, I started making them again as an afternoon snack. Jamie
